Chapelle de San-Perteo : classement par arrêté du 12 juillet 1886

Historique :
Eglise de style roman pisan, se terminant par une abside semi-circulaire. Au sud, le linteau de la porte est sculpté de deux lions affrontés, séparés par un arbre. A l'extérieur, l'abside est entourée de colonnes en granit surmontées de chapiteaux corinthiens en marbre blanc qui supportent des arcades sculptées. Ces chapiteaux sont peut-être des réutilisations d'éléments antiques provenant de l'ancienne villa romaine. L'église s'élève à l'emplacement d'un cimetière païen. L'abside enserrait trois sépultures dont les couvercles étaient directement recouverts par le dallage primitif.

Medieval walls are built with greyish marble and schist from quarries near Bastia, whereas their older foundations probably reused blocks of white marble from nearby Roman ruins.

Chapelle de San-Perteo - English: San Parteo Church in Lucciana (Corsica) seen from the northeast. The oldest parts (12th c.) have been recently completed with cement walls and a roof of tiles.
